Solo tabla performance by Anuradha Pal, which includes her unique creation titled “Anuradha Pal in Tabla Jugalbandi with herself”, which has received waves of appreciation from audiences all around the world. This creation involves a three-way dialogue between the two Anuradhas (the traditional, classically trained one, and the young, spunky one, who also enjoys fusion work) and the audience.
Anuradha Pal has always been intrigued & fascinated by the language of the Tabla & the depth of its evocativeness, articulation & expression. The universal language of rhythm bridges all divides of culture & lack of musical orientation to create a bond of dialogue. In the ‘Jugalbandi’, Anuradha Pal recreates the dialogue between the traditional & contemporary, the male & female elements or purush & prakruti in Indian spirituality, the good & bad, the young & old and the connoisseur & the layman to recreate many scenes of a painting or the multifaceted celebration & experience of life itself…
